Attempting to cool brakes, since 1985..

Photo of these two wheel-fan / aero-covers together; as in addition to a very similar overall design, both happen to be from late 1985.

Impul Pro-Mesh - to suit 14" reverse..

Heroes Racing CX - to suit 14" full-reverse (1" larger face)..
