That day has finally come.
Not only are they clean...
Not only are they complete...
No, these are New Old Stock, unused, still stuck in their impressively tidy original boxes.. and are in an AW11-tastic 4x100 15x6JJ +35 M5F form. I painfully watched these run through the auction last week with little love, to an auction's end at the damn starting price. Eesh. I just can't do any more damn wheels. That's right - I didn't dabble. The shame...
Here's hoping they find their way onto something cool. Something entirely-white and currently on bricks... just waiting for the day...
Done. Now excuse me while I go have a little cry...
1.Why would someone buy and not put these on?!
ReplyDelete2.Did they sell? if so how much did they go for?
You'd be surprised! I custom-ordered a set of wheels from Work back in 2012 for a car I was using regularly at the time. It was later relegated to an occasional toy.. and has still yet never got around to using the wheels. Six years later they're still sitting brand new in their boxes. Time just goes so fast..
DeleteSometimes they're something someone may've ordered through a shop too, then never picked up. Or stock that never sold. They fall out of fashion.. and if years later haven't been thrown out, well, here we are!
I can't remember how much they sold for (I want to say 100,000 yen) but *can* dig up a screenshot I would've taken at the time if you're REALLY curious.
As far as I know they're now in North America somewhere, with plans to finally be used!
Someone was selling a 4x114 set for 750 pounds in September BNIB ;-;
ReplyDeleteIf they were in Australia I'd be tempted to get them.
