A strange one here, feeling more 60's than it does 80's...
..the 1987 &1988-only BK10 Nissan BE-1; a retro styled city car based on the K10 Nissan Micra/March.
This particular car is an 1988; and largely stock apart from a little lowering, some tint, and no hubcaps. It is otherwise a base, non-sunroof, manual car; and in what seems to be the most popular of the few colours available.
The little boot area and relatively long bonnet leave it with a side profile not too dissimilar to the original Mini.
That small boot area on the back is there because.. well.. it has a small boot, not a hatch! Bit of impracticality over the K10 March base, but worth it for some extra style.
Aftermarket shifter, window winders, wheel, knob, pedals and headunit; but otherwise original.. and in nice shape for its age. Seems to be the case for a lot of these; and goes to show that anything a little special is often owned by people even somewhat interested in cars; and taken care of a little better than the average white-goods vehicle.
Thats all for now.
K10 BE-1 - I'd drive one.
Pale-blue, canvas-top, 5-speed please.. :P
